Jim Janetka, Ph.D. is co-investigator on Dr. Scott Hultgren's ARRA Challenge grant entitled Rational Design of Mannosides for Inhibition of FIMH and Treatment of UTI. It is a two year award in which they will investigate alternative strategies for treatment of UTI which is critical in the face of rising antibiotic resistance and recurrence.

Enrico Di Cera, M.D. has been awarded a new STTR subcontract with Aronora, LLC. The Di Cera laboratory will continue their work with Dr. Erik Taylor regarding the extension of current strategies for the design of thrombin mutations of potential therapeutic interest in terms of their anticoagulant/antithrombotic potential.

Nathan Baker, Ph.D. is the recipient of an ARRA supplement for his work entitled "APBS: Nanoscale Biomolecular Electrostatics Software".
